Where a rating, edition or spec comes from a maker’s page or a listing, we word it as “the maker states” and never say a pair “meets” a standard. A listing is a claim; the marking inside the boot is the record. We work from maker specs, listings, published standards and owner reports, and do not claim to wear-test boots.
